Brian Donohoe, MP for Ayrshire Central since 1992 and an engineer by training, is by some margin one of the most thrusting and dynamic of all Labour politicians. While many MPs are terrified of Cybernats, Donohoe takes them on head to head.
Although local people seem to have a different viewpoint. "Brian Donohoe is a very low-profile backbench MP", said local online news site 'The 3 Towns'. Stung by such criticism, Donohoe has leapt forward into the second half of the 20th century.
“I have one of yon new fangled website things all the youth are talking about,” he tells BBC Scotlandshire, reclining on the £2575 suite he had some expenses trouble over a couple of years back. “And it’s been quite a hit!” Comments from users have included such praise as, “Wow, it’s amazing how inspiring some MPs can be” and “Just brilliant!” Unsurprisingly, the cybernats have been less kind, a fact Donohoe dismisses as a sign he has them on the run. “They think no one can play at their clever, internety games but some of us are up on all this new space technology.”
